Software Project Manager

Focus Group are building a new Business Transformation team to the enable the organisation to continue to grow and develop in line with our ambitions. As part of this, we require Project Managers to lead and deliver on the change projects.

We are recruiting for a Project Manager.

This role will focus on the software development projects to ensure that they are delivered efficiently, on-time and to scope (it should be noted that some projects will have broader scopes than just software development). This will include managing and prioritising multiple simultaneous projects and work streams, operating to tight schedules in a demanding environment, eliminating barriers and delivering to budget. You will build and develop the project teams to ensure high performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation.

We are looking for someone with prior experience as a project manager or scrum master working with a software development team. You should have good working knowledge of project estimation techniques and well as the following:

• Be able to review and input into potential projects and scope with business stakeholders, BAs and Development teams.
• Ensure project scope is defined and approved prior to implementation.
• Create implementation plan, resource plan, budget and gain approval from stakeholders. This will entail working closely with the Development team leads on the resource allocation.
• Input into project prioritisation reviews.
