Full Time, Permanent, (shift 8am-4pm Monday-Friday)
As part of a uniformed security team, you will help to provide a secure environment for people working in or visiting the British Library's Boston Spa site by helping to providing part of a 24/7 security operation. You'll be expected to control access to site, complete regular patrols; monitor the CCTV and emergency alarm systems and provide an emergency response to incidents in areas of the site. Ideally in possession of a valid SIA CCTV and Door Supervisor licences, you will have experience in a similar security environment. You'll also be able to deal with others patiently and fairly, work flexibly as part of a team, have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to apply common sense in any situation. Reliability attention to detail and the ability to take tough decisions under pressure are also essential for this role. Good IT skills would also be of advantage.
