About the Role
CrowdStrike is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our growing Product development team. This team of engineers focuses on security related development on endpoint, cloud, and back-end with a particular focus on data security. We're looking for smart people who want to be challenged and take ownership of what they build, working in an environment where quality is the company culture.
As an SDET within the Product team you will be focused on the validation of major research projects and features in the cloud. You will collaborate with Product team engineers on enhancing our cloud systems. You will build test suites for cloud features, including functional testing and end-to-end validation. You will collaborate with multiple teams within engineering, and be expected to make significant contributions to the quality of major development projects as well as the test infrastructure itself by developing new tools to enable projects under development to test more effectively.
Success in this role means:
Automating test processes for speed, reproducibility, and scalability. You will build integration tests, unit tests, system tests, performance tests and more.
Reviewing source code and discerning the quality regarding functional and non-functional requirements
Breaking software systems in creative and useful ways.
Collaborating both within and across teams to deliver quality software.

Building elegant, robust, and reliable solutions for complex technical problems.
You will:
Understand the requirements of software projects and build test plans appropriate to those requirements.
Understand the software architectures of the team deliverables; participate in design discussions.
Build automated tests and systems based on software architecture, integration points and business goals.
Design, develop, verify, deploy and maintain automated test suites and frameworks, working collaboratively, with a goal of minimizing manual testing.
Perform manual tests if automation gaps exist until you can put the automation in place.
Write clear and detailed bug reports when things break, and work with the team to identify and validate fixes.
Deliver and accept feedback with grace and courtesy.
Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables, both individually and when leading a team.
What You'll Need
4+ years of hands-on SDET/test automation development experience
A computer science background or equivalent experience (e.g. programming styles, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, etc.)
Demonstrated experience in product development, product release and software development lifecycles
Demonstrated experience with white-box testing techniques - reviewing code and understanding architecture(s)
Demonstrated experience with CI/CD frameworks
Prior experience developing code in Python and Go/Java.
Be able to read & understand code written in Go and be an active participant in peer code reviews.
Team player - demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a globally distributed team.

Prior experience with pytest, Jenkins
Understanding Event Driven architecture and cloud native technologies
