WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

This is an amazing opportunity to join the team responsible for the firm's Big Data analytics platform! We are looking for a Java specialist to help us build out the existing platform to support additional technology and business use-cases involving both on-premise and Cloud implementations. The platform delivers data solutions across the group including use-cases for: market data analytics, regulatory reporting, surveillance and revenue analysis. This is a chance to really make a difference and shape the future of the company.

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE ..

• General expert in Java including performance tuning, monitoring, multithreading and profiling
• Relational and NoSQL database experience, including performance optimisation and management, logical and physical schema modelling.
• Streaming data experience - including a thorough understanding of at least one messaging broker.
• Proven experience with ETL tools and frameworks, including automation and scheduling.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix (including shell scripting) and resources (cpu, memory, disk, network).
• Data background, preferably with experience managing clustered data lakes.
• Strong focus on continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Must have permanent right to work in the UK to apply as there is no sponsorship available
