Head of Data (IT, Applications, Management) BLUH33993 Liverpool £75,000 to £80,000 Our client administer the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme and provide pensions to over 1.5 million people. They have in-depth knowledge and expertise in the administration of Defined Benefit pension schemes and provide tailored services to more than 250 Government employers. Also, through our client’s Training and Employee Engagement Service, they offer training on a wide range of pension related topics and legislative change. They have a strong heritage as the provider of a broad portfolio of administration services. Their deep public and private sector knowledge and experience means they are a unique provider in the field. They now have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Data to join them in the Technology Solutions Team in their Liverpool office. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer you will be required to lead our data operations and build a centre of excellence to manage all data flows and improvement strategies, undertake review of their existing methods of data interfacing and develop strategy for standard Company model. This will include undertaking a data interface transformation programme including introduction of client self-service portal and manage relationships with The Pensions Regulator and manage Data Improvement Plans with the clients. You will also work closely with the Head of Systems by prioritising the development of activities with the main systems supplier, to ensure the delivery schedule is met, developing a systems roadmap to support our client’s overall business plan and strategy and developing and maintaining their applications. A technical back-ground and a pensions/scheme understanding would be beneficial, however this role requires a confident leader, with a senior management background, who will identify requirements for improvement and change and execute these effortlessly and in-line with the Company’s strategies and objectives.
