Minimum Requirement:
A modelling team within home office asylum modelling for part of the asylum system, policy and operational side , cohort analysis, demographics of people , want knowledge software
Software knowledge
Simulate / and sql / excel
Experience AQA , Analytical quality assurance , analytical requirement gathering , speaking to a range of stakeholders, and gathering data making a model , turning what stakeholder want into data modeller demand forecasting
Data Modeller & Forecasting
Technical / Qualifications / numerate background , experience , degree plus work experience
Public sector background SC Clearance is essential for the role but confirmed it is essential access one of their systems which requires SC clearance..

Deliverables:
1. Contributions to the development of a DES model of the post initial decision stage of asylum processing and analysis of the impact of policy and operational change on cohorts processed and resulting costs
2. Contributions to the further development and use of a Systems model of the supported populations in the asylum system and a DES model of the initial decision stage of asylum processing, alongside analysis of the impact of policy and operational change on cohorts processed and resulting costs
3. Contributions to the refinement of Intake forecasts for asylum claims
4. Broader analytical support to emerging policy and operational challenges in the Asylum space
5. Ad hoc support to quick-fire analytical questions from policy and operations in the Asylum space
Skills & Knowledge:
1. DES modelling using Simul8
2. Cohort modelling using systems approaches
3. Demand Forecasting and basic spreadsheet analysis
4. Analytical Quality Assurance
