We are recruiting on behalf of a global Charity for an experienced IT Programme Manager. The successful candidate will oversee an Portfolios of IT projects. You will manage a team of 5 Project Managers, oversee a variety of Digital and Technology projects and ensure all phases of the projects are executed to the highest quality.
This role is 90% remote working with 10% onsite in East London
The Programme Managers must have experience of managing and delivering a portfolio of projects through a team of Project Managers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of IT projects.
- Manage a team of 5 Project Managers, .
- Provide direction, support and management of external suppliers, creating a positive, efficient and sustainable relationship
- Provide effective stakeholder engagement throughout the project.
- Lead and facilitate the scoping, design and development of large and complex technical projects involving high volumes, sensitive data and CRM systems
- Continuously manage and monitor budget, resource and progress.
- Review the weekly reports provided by PM's.
Experience Needed
- Experience of line management, coaching and mentoring team members
- Experience of leading and motivating multi-disciplinary project teams
- Ability to apply project management methodologies (eg Prince 2, ITIL, Agile etc) in a flexible manner appropriate to complex change programmes and projects
- Interpersonal skills and relationship management, including proven ability to engage senior management and stakeholders
- Experience in contributing at a strategic level in delivering programmes and projects
- Experience of successfully delivering a blend of small to large-scale technology programmes and projects through all stages of their life cycle with appropriate frameworks and methodologies
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and the ability to navigate the challenges and opportunities within this
