The Highways UK infrastructure consultancy sector includes a portfolio of high-profile projects with clients that include Highways England (HE), Transport Scotland, Welsh Government, national and regional contractors, and several significant Local Authorities. Our Rail team provides a comprehensive passenger and freight consultancy and engineering services to the rail sector, covering the full spectrum of railway infrastructure requirements, from business case and project development, preliminary appraisal and feasibility studies through to detailed design, implementation and operational management advice. Our internationally respected Aviation team are active at all major UK airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, with a growing portfolio of overseas commissions.

Jacobs are looking for an engaging, customer centric & solution focussed BIM Manager with hands on experience to lead the provision of digital environments and consultancy services for our high-profile Transportation Clients

About you

As a BIM Manager within our Transportation business you will undertake a key role in delivering our client requirements. As an individual we would look to you to show experience in leadership, delivery performance, excellent communication skills combined with being a team player. The knowledge, skills and experience we value are varied as we continue to develop diverse teams.

You will help to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to supporting others across the team in delivering a high-quality and agile environment.

In delivery you should understand our internal and external clients, challenging the accepted whilst adding the increased value they demand.

As a key member of the project team you should have excellent communication skills, allowing you to build and maintain relationships with our key clients and delivery partners, whilst taking the lead on escalation points.

You will develop and control budgets for the digital presence on projects, to ensure that key milestones, targets and objectives including time, cost, quality, safety, security and sustainability, are achieved in line with programme plansYou will have proven experience in a technical and/or engineering space with a sound understanding of project information management principles and application, which include:
Proven ability to engage, influence, & manage communications with internal & external stakeholders at all operational levels.
Excellent written skills, with ability to gather, select & present information to specific requirements.
Effective leadership to facilitate project delivery to cost, time and quality objectives
Problem solving and analytical skills to challenge existing methods & offer effective alternatives
Agile working skills with ability to operate various projects for several differing clients.
Understanding of factors affecting team motivation & interpersonal skills to improve team effectiveness
Excellent organisational skills, confident working unsupervised and under pressure to meet deadlines.
Understanding of the fundamental compliance(s) in the digital delivery space.
Desire for continued professional development associated with industry advancements and innovations.
