About the opportunity

Reporting to the EMC Lead, you will provide technical solutions and consultancy services for clients and provide presentations to industry related groups plus provide close sales support with the Portfolio Leads and their sales teams.

Predominantly aligned to: BeyondZero, People, Projects & Performance, Innovation & Technology, Global Connectivity; Digital Connectivity

Key stakeholders: Operations Lead partner, Portfolio Leads, Solutions and Technology Team, other OU resource leads, our People
Whilst there is no set location for this role, it will require the ability to travel in line with business needs.

Responsibilities

Carry out CRE or Project Engineer roles for allocated projects
Production of EMC Test Strategies, Control Plan and Test Specifications for allocated projects
Hold / Assist with EMC HaZId workshops
Support other engineering disciplines with earthing and bonding support
Drive the development & innovation of our technical solutions for our clients, to meet their greatest challenges.
Work with the Emerging Technology and Innovation Team specialists to develop and deploy latest technology.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:
Degree/HNC or relevant experience
Experience of UK rail vehicle electrical design with a manufacturer, operator, vehicle owner, design organisation or consultant
Experience of Network Rail Infrastructure projects
Experience of London Underground EMC requirements
Experience of Tram Networks

Preferred:
Ability to lead work packages across design projects or willingness to progress in that direction
