Global Insurance Corporation currently seeks an Enterprise Data Architect/Datawarehouse Architect to provide architectural, design and consultancy in relation to global enterprise wide systems which are highly transactional in nature.

You will be responsible for leading strategic data architecture across enterprise level systems by undertaking Datamodelling, master data management (MDM) techniques, and planning and documenting system architectures, both high and low level designs. Specifically, this will involve creation of the logical data models and supervision of more junior architects who create physical data models. Furthermore the Data Architect will drive architectural data strategy within the Azure cloud data services incorporating data warehouses/data lakes using Azure Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory etc. You will also lead the drive towards automation of processes, particularly ETL with a Machine Learning/Data Science approach. Critically, you will be able to influence both business and technical stakeholders to help drive architectural initiatives within the data management space resulting in better output across a range of Business Intelligence platforms as well as better efficiency across the global enterprise. The role has visibility across EMEA, LATAM and ASIAPAC.

This is a senior level technical role which does not require any hands on coding or development activity however ability to create high level and low level design and data models will be required. You will however need to have come from within a background of technical experience incorporating ETL pipelines, Database and Datawarehouse design and development, Data Science and Machine Learning techniques ideally from within a commercial environment as opposed to purely academic (where possible).

We are searching for a Senior Data Architect/Enterprise Data Architect/Datawarehouse Consultant/Data Manager ideally from within the Insurance/Reinsurance sector but other areas of Financial Service will be acceptable. You will have worked as a Data Architect/Enterprise Architect/Solution Architect in a European or global organisation ideally within Insurance, Reinsurance, Pensions, Banking, Financial Services or consultancy firms such as Accenture, Cognizant, CapGemini, IBM etc.

You will possess an ability to create high level designs, low level technical design and advise technical teams where required. You will be a senior level architect who is used to engaging with executives on a global basis and able to promote and influence particularly when presenting around emerging/contemporary technologies such as Azure Data Services (Data Bricks, Data Factory etc), automation of ETL pipelines, Data Science approaches (using Python for instance), Machine Learning and automation. An understanding of Agile/Scrum will also be required combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
