Job Description

Senior Business Analysts are required to ensure delivery of widespread digital change in one of the UK's largest major Government Departments.

Defra's Digital Data and Technology Services (DDTS) function are currently undertaking significant change across our enterprise and embracing Digital Services as a platform for continued transformation. As such, we require Senior Business Analysts to join us at this exciting time and facilitate change programmes unseen in the private sector.

Your new role

You will be offered the chance to work on a wide range of high-profile digital services, including public facing, collaborating with senior stakeholders and departments to understand business needs, elicit requirements, identify opportunities for change, undertake business process improvement and deliver solutions. You will act as the conduit between our user population and project teams, leading and undertaking business analysis for large and complex IT-enabled business change projects and programmes, giving thought to vision and scope, people, processes, user requirements, data and IT. Working alongside other specialists, this is an opportunity to really shape our IT practice and to revolutionise how people in the UK understand, interact with and manage our natural environment.

What you'll need to succeed

Your track record of conducting business analysis in Agile digital delivery, on major business ICT change projects / programmes, improving business processes and influencing diverse stakeholder communities will lead to your success. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to bring clarity to business problems and shape business solutions. You will be adept at presenting complex information in a tailored format, allowing you to communicate key findings and put forward recommendations to the wider organisation. Key to your success are your natural communication skills and collaborative approach to teamwork.

Our Business Analysis hubs are Bristol, Warrington and York but we'll consider Birmingham, Reading and Crewe applications. Our people work flexibly, remotely, from different offices and from home.
