ShortList has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to work for a market leading business in Chester.

You will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and maintaining the security of the IT infrastructure. As a Junior Cyber Security Analyst, you will be reporting to the Head of Cyber Security, offering a broad scope for defining the tools and services being deployed as well as the development of your own personal skills

Key Skills:

• A keen interest in cyber security with an enthusiasm for personal and professional growth.
  
• I SO 27001 & Cyber Essentials Awareness.
  
• IT systems and network configuration, specific to Cyber threat and remediation.
  
• Office 365 Suite.
  
• Understanding of GDPR.
  
• Using M365 Security and Compliance.
  
• Using Powershell.
  
• Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security tools.
  
• An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ability to investigate ways to manage them
  
• Teamworking skills to collaborate with team members and clients
  
• An ability to work under pressure, particularly when dealing with threats and at times of high demand
  

The Junior Cyber Security Analyst role requires someone who enjoys researching/evaluating emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them and monitoring for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised, or illegal activity.

The position is paying up to £30,000, plus benefits and flexibility. This position is based in Chester and will be supporting a hybrid model of working.
