Helpdesk / EPOS Software Support Engineer required for my client based in Bolton for a permanent in role paying £18-19k
This is an office based role with parking available.
Main purpose of job: Providing technical help / assistance on Electronic Point of Sale System to
new and existing customers.
You will assist in the efficient and effective running of the IT Support Desk and be primarily responsible for the provision of 1st tier IT Service support.
This will involve analysis of all telephone/voicemail/email Support calls, logging relevant information into the Support Desk database system and keeping customers informed.
You will be expected to analyse 1st line faults, identify problems, researching answers and guide clients through corrective steps.
Skills Required
You need to be familiar with remote support tools such as Log Me In, PC Anywhere VNC and RDP
Install and re-configure software and where necessary assist / build / configure hardware
Technologies:
Windows Operating Systems 7, 8, (Server 2008, 2012 - would be an advantage)
Microsoft Office products, including Work, Excel, Outlook
General knowledge of MS SQL would be an advantage
Call Logging systems
