Service Desk - Trainer

Position Description

Our Client is actively recruiting a permanent Service Desk Trainer - contract to perm
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has evidence of strong inter-personal skills and is motivated by encouraging and developing those around them.

Service Desk Trainers are required to:

Deliver induction training for Service Desk analysts.
Deliver additional training, including contract overviews for new and existing Service Desk analysts.
Take responsibility for members during the induction period, ensuring they feel motivated.
Ensure all associated documentation and accounts are submitted and/or created for new starters during induction.
Ensure training assessments are completed by trainees as required and all training plans are kept up to date.
Create a positive atmosphere in which members feel supported and engaged.
Have a proven aptitude for developing training programs and the associated documentation to the expected standard of a 5-star Service Desk.
Ensure Service Desk documentation created during the transition of new contracts is written to a high standard and develop the training materials for these contracts as required.
Assist with the update, improvements and release of documentation, CLIs and procedures used by the Service Desk.
Actively seek out and implement service improvements in line with the Service Desk's continual improvement strategy.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with ITIL Incident Management guidelines.
Ensure compliance to all published procedures, including ISO9001 and ISO27001.

Desirable skills:

Working knowledge of ITIL at foundation level
Good knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Familiarity with Service Desk tools
Previous training and management experience.
