I'm working with a Fintech who have spun out of a global hedge fund, which means they're financially secure and can offer industry leading salaries, while retaining agile and keeping a nice culture. The firm began with around 30 people, and in three years they're close to 300 globally, looking to add another 100 this year.
They're looking for a Scala Engineer to join the Trading Technology team to work on an order management system. You will be working closely with market data and trade life cycle technology, and the project is currently in its greenfield stage.
Tech Stack: Scala, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices, SQL.
Responsibilities:
Financial knowledge and understanding of the trade life cycle would be considered an advantage
Experience in the development and support of a critical production environment with a devops mind-set
Good understanding of functional programming
Capable and confident with Scripting in a Unix environment
Comfortable working with large volumes of data (XML/JSON)
Ability to communicate clearly with project stakeholders
The company is growing significantly this year, hence the compensation, and can also offer a hybrid remote work set up.
