Applications Engineer

I have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Application Engineer to join an SME company working on patented technology and making waves in the contactless payment and identification space. You will be an integral part in creating the next generation of fingerprint recognition and payment solutions that will eventually be used in touch-free smart cards and devices.

The Role

The successful Applications Engineer will provide expert technical support and insight throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with clients and the field application team, you will be responsible for fixing issues and monitoring performance for the end-user.

What's Required?

For this Applications Engineer role, we're interested in people from a variety of backgrounds, but your experience may include some of the following:

• Solid experience of electronics design - schematic capture and PCB layout (using Altium)
• An understand of board bring up, testing & debugging PCBs
• Customer facing experience, able to speak with clients and potential customers.
• Comfortable working and supporting different areas of the business
• Experienced in low-level / low-noise analogue circuitry design
• Switched-mode power supplies / four quadrant operation
