Job Profile We are looking for next leader of VISTA, an entrepreneurial, agile, and driven team within T&S. This creative team drives innovation across the business through new capabilities: digital tools, new products, and new ways of working. We are passionate about introducing and iterating innovative technologies through partnerships with startups, and accelerating new ventures and business models, to address commercial opportunities in the business. Vista is demand led by business opportunities and pain points. We are focused on producing commercial outcomes (e.g. generating revenue, saving cost and creating efficiencies) through cutting edge digital solutions that we identify and partner with from the start-up ecosystem as well as through new digital products that we identify, accelerate and commercialise that leverage T&S' proprietary insights, capabilities or assets.
As VP of Innovation Product Management, requirements and accountabilities include:
- Mandate to drive commercial value for T&S through digital innovation.
- Successful track record of working independently to implement and drive entrepreneurial approaches, change, and/or transformation.
- Commercial focus / closer / deal maker - driving the team to progress and land the most successful digital projects (POCs with startups) and products (new digitally-enabled solutions fit for purpose for T&S).
- Demonstrated experience and/or deep interest in emerging technologies and the art of the possible through digital solutions.
- Strong leader, collaborator and communicator - well equipped to manage a new and growing team with a wonderfully diverse set of skills and experience.
- Comfort leading through ambiguity without clearly defined parameters, yet results and deadline orientated.
- Senior relationship manager / excellent stakeholder management - with many VP and SVP interfaces across T&S' front, middle and back offices and all regions, as well as key interfaces across I&E (DCM, LP&V, DS&E) and wider bp.
- Outcome - oriented. Lead the prioritisation of Vista portfolio based on the commercial outcomes. KPI/benefit/impact measurement vital to success.
- Visionary - innovation never rests. Always looking to what's next; how can Vista evolve/improve to meet the needs of the business and future proof T&S for an increasingly digital future.
- Embodies and promotes an inclusive and experimental culture to enable an agile and open organisational structure, where diversity of thought is celebrated, all voices are heard and valued, whilst structure is relied on for clarity and delivery (matrix org)
- A connector with a strong network across T&S and an understanding of how Vista is differentiated, yet complimentary, to other innovation teams across bp (e.g. key interfaces with wider I&E)
