DBA - AWS Redshift, Outside IR35, Remote

Well known price comparison company looking to add a seasoned Database specialist specifically skilled in AWS Redshift to their team of expert data engineers.
This role will be focused on building a process that will combine both Data Engineering practices and processes with warehouse management on AWS Redshift to ensure recovery effectively in a disaster scenario.

What will it take to be successful?
Essential:

• Experience with AWS Redshift ideally in a DBA capacity
• Experience building procedures using SQL or Postgres SQL
• Performance Monitoring and Tuning, back-up and restore strategies, replication techniques on Redshift or similar Cloud based Warehouse technology
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired:

• Knowledge of Data Engineering practices
• Experience of Agile practices
• Knowledge of Testing best practices for Databases
• AWS RDS, S3 and Athena experience
