Recovery & Resolution Advisor

I have partnered with an international financial services business who are looking to hire a Recovery and Resolution Advisor. The team which you will be working in is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of annual Recovery and Orderly wind-down Plans and assist the resolution authorities in the delivery and maintenance of their resolution strategy while meeting regulatory requirements of all jurisdictions where the company operates. Failure to submit credible plans could lead to stringent capital, leverage or liquidity requirements that would constrain the company's growth, activities and operations. This is a crucial hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing expert advice to Risk Management and the business on recovery and resolution planning topics
Demonstrating end-to-end thinking and ownership in delivering the recovery plans and resolution planning topics, supporting the continued evolution and maturing of the plans
Playing a central role in the development, maintenance, evolution and production of the recovery plans across the group
Presenting and engaging confidently with senior Management and others stakeholders on recovery and resolution planning
Driving collaboration with business stakeholders and other contributors to the plans to ensure that the plans are fit for purpose and meet regulatory and Management requirements and expectations
Monitoring regulatory and industry developments as appropriate to evolve the business's thinking and plans with the shifting regulatory landscape, industry and market best practice befitting a systemically important financial market infrastructure.
Acting as a single point of contact for questions from internal stakeholders, regulators, clients and counterparties concerning the company's recoverability and resolvability
Driving and owning inter-divisional initiatives that should strengthen the recoverability of the business.
Supporting, as required, the resolution authorities' development of resolution plans
Helping to ensure close alignment and integration of the RRW plan with other RM activities and files
Essential Requirements:
Strong financial skills (including ability to read for example Balance Sheet, knowledge of capital and liquidity concepts)
Strong ability to read and interpret regulation and relay the key messages including impacts
Strong knowledge of the financial industry at large
Strong oral and written communication skills (English)
Good project management skill
Ability to prepare presentations at a Senior Management and Board level, distilling complex topics and details
Ability to articulate yourself clearly in oral and written communications
Strong analytical skills, able to get to the bottom of complex topics
Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from SME input
Ability to bring people together and build a consensus among stakeholders
Capable of seeing the bigger picture and thus bringing perspective
Ability to prioritise workload, perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
