• Market Rates (c£50.000 to £60,000 per year)

Skills and Experience:

• Manage and coordinate surveying procedures and processes for assigned locations including surveying employees and subcontractors to ensure project area are surveyed correctly and meet or exceed requirements
• Prepare survey schedule and assign resources to ensure alignment to requirements
• Establish quality control check on drawings to ensure accuracy of information and maintain survey notes in accordance with our client's standards and policies
• Schedule and order survey materials and equipment to ensure project timelines are met.
• Perform technical GIS mapping and GPS data collection in support of the enterprise GIS initiative and FTTX network using GIS software, GPS equipment and other related tools.
• Ensure data quality assurance and maintenance of standard operating procedures and policies related to data collection
• Conduct duct and chamber inspection to determine feasibility for use.
• Validate network designs to assess constructability
• Training users on a variety of surveying techniques and applications

The Opportunity:

My client working within the telecoms sector are currently looking for a Telecoms Survey Manager to join their business to work alongside their Network Design team, reporting to the Head of Department, to support the overall Fibre Network Design process. Please note that the nature of these roles will involve field work, which will include working outdoors, standing for long periods and often, walking long distances. The ideal candidate would ideally have a Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Mapping, Civil Engineering or the equivalent combination of experience or a certification. Ideally you would have 4 years' experience in surveying and data collection for this role, but we will consider all levels of experience for the right candidate.
