Job Description

Working within a Team of three dedicated Engineers to support a long-term project. Ensuring Customer expectations can be met within the planned parameters on timing, costs and use of available resources. Able to manage a Team of two Build/Imaging Engineers (This may rise to 8 Engineers during 2022).

Requirements

  • Previous Team Leader/Managerial experience - Essential
  • Highly proficient in MS Office especially Excel reporting - Essential
  • Knowledge/Experience of a high-volume build project.
  • Suitable security clearance or able to pass a security clearance check.
  • Hardware break/fix or experience of an SCCM deployment project would be desirable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Great administration skills.
  • A Team player.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that customer expectations are being met and exceeded.
  • Managing a Team of up to 8 Engineers.
  • Responsible for the daily output to required daily/weekly targets.
  • Ensure quality of delivery to clients to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Installation and configuration of operating systems.
  • Manage logging of hardware warranty events as necessary through to completion.
  • Production of reports.
  • Production of daily KPI's.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues during builds.
  • Effective communication to keep customer account teams fully appraised of all build and install activities. This includes senior project/account Managers
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and Risk Management procedures during all activities
  • Follow technical process and procedural documents.
  • Reporting to the ITLM Hardware Engineering Manager.

Person Specification

  • IT background and experience in enterprise deployment technologies would be desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years managing a Team (2-8).
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and risk management.
  • Knowledge of and understanding of best practice in carrying out installs.
  • Experience participating in large scale projects and teams.
  • Self-motivated.

  • Good communication skills, able to maintain good communications with customers to ensure full understanding of customers' needs and issues.
