Senior Back-End Developer

Our client seeks a Senior Back-End Developer with C# (.Net Core) development experience and DevOps automation.

As a Senior Back-End Developer you will work with the development and QA teams to ensure successful, timely, high quality sprint delivery. You will also:

• compile and analyse data, processes and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• collaborate with other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance user experience
• influence decisions around technical approach and choice of tools
• take ownership of delivery of features from inception through to production on multiple projects
• conduct code reviews and ensure ongoing improvement in code quality
• lead and promote ongoing adoption of development best practices, developing ideas for new features by monitoring industry developments and trends.

Candidates should have at least 5 years' experience in C# (.NET Core) development and knowledge of SOLID principles. You will also have experience with relational DBs like SQL server, MySQL, Postgres, etc. and NoSQL DBs such as DynamoDB or Elastic search. Other experience include Web Sockets, AWS/Azure and DevOps automation ideally using Terraform or similar.

As a problem solver you will use your initiative to present solutions rather than issues. Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the flexibility to juggle a range of different tasks in an organised way. You should have proven ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.

On offer is a salary up to £120,000 depending on experience. Candidates can work remotely from home but will ideally be located within a commutable distance of London so they can visit the office once a week to socialise and collaborate more easily with the team. However, for exceptional candidates the amount of time required in the office can be discussed.
