Finance Systems Support Specialist

The role

This is a new permanent role for a Finance Systems Support Specialist to provide Anaplan technical support across finance. This role will report to the Finance Systems Support Manager. The role will be working closely alongside the finance systems support team and finance stakeholders.

Key accountabilities

Main Duties

• Monitor day-to-day Anaplan support incidents,
• Complete Anaplan maintenance activities,
• Ensuring all 4 Planning models are ready for each planning cycle,
• Maintain and update DataHub data/structures,
• Maintain and update application security,
• Maintain and support Anaplan reports and exports,
• Troubleshoot Anaplan Issues,
• Maintaining strong governance and controls on Anaplan processes,
• Championing continuous Anaplan improvements,
• Continually review and update procedures and support documentation,
• Provide Anaplan training to finance users and the wider Finance Systems support team,
• Prepare Anaplan change requests and complete required development tasks
• Create and control test scripts for business upgrades and development tasks
• Provide a high priority level of support during busy planning cycles
• Provide support on other Finance Systems, as required
• Liaise with Anaplan and report any incidents or fixes required
• Liaise with external developers for larger development requests

Skills & experience

• Part Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
• 3 + years experience supporting or developing EPM and/or wider financial systems
• Anaplan experience is preferred but applicants with other EPM tool (Adaptive Planning or Oracle EPM) experience will be considered
• Ideally strong knowledge in financial budgeting, planning and forecasting.
• Experience in the insurance sector is preferred
• A desire to learn and support other financial applications
