Python Engineer

An exceptional opportunity has just opened for a high calibre contract Python engineer to join a rapidly growing team in London. The company has been involved in some really exciting technology ventures recently and their advanced technology and new business models are disrupting the global energy trading system. You will form a key part of our specialist team so you will need commercial experience in using Python, Azure and Cloud Native CI/CD tools is highly desirable.

You will not only be using your skills in Python to develop & maintain our high performing systems but you will also receive the opportunity to contribute to our closely knit team through coaching, training & thought leadership.

The successful Python engineer will be rewarded with a daily rate of £600 - £850 per day inside IR35 initially on a 6 month piece of work but there is definitely the prospect of renewal given the strength of our work pipeline. The desired Python engineer will have the following experience:

• Proficient experience in modern Async Python with Azure Platform Development (Serverless Computing, Azure Functions, Azure Services, Azure Storage, Logic Apps
• Knowledge of Energy Trading, Power Trading Value Chain and Wholesale Energy Markets is highly desirable and would be a key differentiator between technically equivalent candidates proven ability to work well individually and as part of a team
• Exceptional communication skills across all levels of the business
• Experience developing applications based on microservices architecture is highly desirable
