We are looking for an experienced data engineer with Azure cloud technology skills to drive and innovate a new data engineering function in a greenfield environment.

THE COMPANY

This proptech company is looking for a new data engineer with significant experience to build a data-lake and deliver best practice across a range of projects. You will have creative freedom to propel the growth of this team, and the ambition to work towards becoming a lead.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing big data solutions to meet the needs of key stakeholders
• Maintaining, standardising and revising engineering processes to enable continuous improvement
• Ensuring data quality and compliance
• Working on cloud migration projects in Azure
• Coaching and leading junior team members on best practice

SKILLS REQUIRED

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A strong data engineering background
• Programming skills across multiple languages (Python, SQL)
• Working experience with a cloud technology platform (ideally Azure)
• Ambitions to become a lead for the team in the future
• Excellent communication for stakeholder engagement and collaborative teamwork
