"Hi Simon, we've got something exciting happening and want you to help us build a new team for a brand new product. We need a Senior Product Owner as one of the first core people. Someone who will be excited to build something from the ground up, enjoy the challenge of defining, analysising, owning and shaping a software product and who can adapt as things evolve. Can you help?"

This is one of those genuinely rare opportunities to get in from the ground up, help to design and define a solution, translate business cases and help the development team to deliver. This is greenfield but not without pedigree; you will join a leading business who are experts, a phenomenal and supportive management team and an established client base.

As the first of the product team, you will take end-to-end ownership from business analysis to definition and delivery. In their words:

You will be responsible for working with the projects leadership team to distil strategic priorities into actionable deliverables, keeping track of the projects status and backlog and eventually managing and mentoring a small number of Product Owners (expected to be 2-3 direct reports over time).

We are looking for an end-to-end Product Owner; your background will be software business analysis, into ownership. You will love the process of defining the requirements and translating them into deliverables, building and grooming the backlog and keeping the roadmap moving as well as mentoring junior members of the team and eventually leading.
