They are currently looking for an Experienced Wintel Platform Engineer for an initial 6 month period. Our client is on a mission to deliver leading edge technology to some of its key departments. This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of this.

Your new role

Joining the Technology, Engineering and Operations function as platforms engineer, you will have responsibility for maintaining and developing our Platforms Infrastructure. You will use your knowledge and experience to ensure that the infrastructure and services are configured securely, highly available and performant. Working with internal Product Management teams you will further develop the core platforms to meet availability requirements and emerging user needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a growing team in a modern and flexible working environment. What you'll need to succeed

Essential Experience - must be SC cleared

  • Experienced engineer specialising in Microsoft Windows Server Enterprise, Active Directory, and Group Policy Management
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols (UDP, TCP, TLS, DNS)
  • Experience of using and developing PowerShell scripts.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities
  • AWS Cloud, Lambada, EC2, RDS, VPC, IGW, IAM.
  • Experience in working in Cross Domain and air gapped environments.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware
  • Windows 2022 experience and migration from 2012R2/20216.
  • Experience of working on Windows Core as well as GU
  • Experience with ADFS
  • Ability to develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and scenario playbooks
  • Must be a self-starter and work productively with minimal supervision alone or in collaboration with a team


Desirable

  • Configuration management experience (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience in KeyClock, ADFS OAuth 2.0 and integration of cloud services
  • Familiarity with software development practices (version control, CI/CD)
  • Experience of open-source monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus)
