Solution Architect Team Manager

It's a great time to seek out a new opportunity and we are actively seeking a professional specialist to join and support our IT Architecture team. We have an opportunity for a Solution Architect Team Manager to join the business and be at forefront of our Business Change & Technology agenda.

As Solution Architect Team Manager, you will lead a team of professional Solution Architects, whilst drawing on your expert experience to ensure change initiatives and solutions are fittingly designed for Mitchells & Butlers. Balancing the elegance of design, robustness, security, risk and cost while adhering to overall business and technology strategies. Your experience will be applied in traditional ways of working in addition to Agile initiatives. You will ensure company wide solutions land as effectively as possible adhering to the IT strategy and IT roadmap.

What will I be doing?

• Actively fostering a positive, problem solving approach across the department by organising and running a collaborative Design Forum
• Performing a dual role of Leading an experienced Solution Architecture team and drawing on your sound experience to act as a Solution Architect when needed
• Working in partnership with the Enterprise Architect, Information Security Manager and Business Architect to ensure that solutions or processes created align to best practice to ensure that IT solutions and Business processes are standardised
• Proactively managing and align the resourcing of projects, ensuring that your team are engaged and delivering on initiatives that align to MAB's commercial and technical strategy
• Leading the identification of potential solutions, that are able to fulfil business requirements and making sound recommendations to the business based on architecture principles & guidelines

What do I need?

• Proven experience as a Senior Solution Architect, or similar, with the desire to draw on their professional skill, whilst coaching, leading and developing a team of experienced Architects to future success
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship building skills
• The ability to think laterally and constructively question established processes

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven experience of managing third party companies
• Experience in a large, multi-layered organisation is highly desirable
