IT Technician

IT Technician, Malmesbury, £23,000pa - £26,000pa plus benefits:

An amazing opportunity has arisen for an IT Technician to join a growing educational organisation. You will be responsible for providing and assisting with technical 1st/2nd line support across two sites, Swindon and Tetbury, so you ideally live somewhere between the two sites. On a daily basis, you will support IT equipment, software and other related technology. Reporting into the IT Manager, you will also be involved in IT projects which may consist of hardware and software upgrades and migrations.

The company has invested heavily in updating its IT infrastructure over the past few years including virtual server infrastructure at most sites, upgrading core switches and extending wireless networks, online backup systems, centralised managed printing systems.

About you:

The successful IT Technician will need previous 2nd Line IT Support experience with a passion for learning and developing skills within IT. Previous of experience of supporting a variety of devices such as Windows computers, Windows Laptops, iPads, plus systems such as Windows Server and Microsoft 365. A good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft 365 Administration would be highly desirable.

Having a driving licence and vehicle is essential for this position.

Also having worked in an educational environment before is a massive plus.
