Automation Tester - SDET

In this role, the SDET will be critical to delivering quality assurance across the product team. You will set the direction for Quality Assurance and Testing and develop and implement QA approaches. You will be expected to collaborate with project delivery partners to make sure QA is embedded by default into the development approach. The SDET will develop their understanding of emerging tools and approaches and apply these to help the organisation deliver better success.

The SDET will continue to develop their own analytical, delivery management and leadership skills with a focus on helping the organisation to deliver high quality outcomes at pace whilst honing stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement skills.

Responsibilities and skills:

• Must be able to build automation test frameworks from scratch
• Must be extremely confident and experienced with programming languages
• Implementing a project level strategy for the delivery and development of test automation solutions
• Working in collaboration with delivery partners in QA and more broadly across the organisation, to ensure that effective and efficient test automation capabilities are developed and fully integrated into the software development process
• Providing technical advice and assurance on the wider application of test automation solutions at project level, influencing the effectiveness and quality of test engineering practices
• Supporting test engineering teams throughout the delivery process through the provision of technical guidance and coaching
• Working at project, sprint and team level, with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Implementing project level test approaches for integration testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Release within an Agile environment
• Delivering test engineering capabilities which support the implementation of QA, Testing and Software Development strategies
• Implementing a range of tools and test automation techniques including Open Source technologies and object-orientated design
• Implementing appropriate test automation environments
• Must be able to use tools such as: Selenium web driver, Java, RestAssured, Cucumber BDD, Serenity, Jenkins, Junit, Git, CI, CD, DevOps,
