Java Technical Lead needed for a 4 Month Contract for a customer based in Essex (Southend). Outside IR35. Start ASAP in October 2021.

Experience of team leading/mentoring high performing development teams + AWS Cloud solutions is preferred.

A chance to work with a leading global IT transformation business on large-scale digital modernisation projects for Government clients.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic you will be able to work remotely with the occasional office visit:

• Java Technical Lead with strong hands-on Server Side, RESTful web services + microservices development experience.
• Proven experience of leading, mentoring + driving development teams.

Essential Skills:

• Java 8/11, Spring Boot, XML, REST APIs + database programming skills (Oracle, MySQL, PostreSQL).
• Experience on AWS Cloud including: ECS, EKS, API Gateway + Serverless technologies.
• CI/CD + DevOps technologies including: Git, Jenkins + Ansible preferred.
• Large-scale Public Sector/Government integration projects involving messaging, web services + distributed systems preferred.
• JavaScript, Angular and/or NodeJS experience preferred.

Advantageous Skills:

• Amazon EKS, RHEL, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Apache Camel, WSO2 Integrator, ELK Stack, OpenStack, Azure Cloud, Pega BPM.
• Agile development methods: Scrum, Kanban, BDD, TDD.
