Senior Design Engineer - Solidworks - Pharmaceutical - £40-45,000 (dependant upon experience) - Heywood, Lancashire / North-West plus WFH option for the right candidate

Leading organisation within their industry require a Senior Design Engineer with proven engineering design experience and as a mechanical design engineer, with a minimum of 3 years' experience working specifically within the medical and pharmaceutical industries. You will have ideally have demonstrable experience in working with containment devices working on projects from concept through to final detail design using Solidworks (Solidworks PDM beneficia) with the ability to produce process and pneumatic diagrams, be a strong problem solver with a good attention to detail and have the ability to plan, schedule and coordinate effectively

As the Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of standard and bespoke products (containment, aseptic, and sterile applications) working closely with the engineering team to lead and develop the mechanical design and detailed drawings of machinery for the medical and pharmaceutical industries. You will take ownership from product concept through to delivery with the customer, have the ability to offer concept design solutions during quotation and tender process, help develop new products for GA drawings, detailed manufacturing drawing and bills of materials ensuring product designs comply with regulatory requirements (EU GMP and ISO14644)

Ideally you'll be qualified to degree level or a minimum HNC level with relevant industry experience. Proven experience of sheet metal fabrications is also highly desirable.
