IT Support Engineer
Huddersfield
£18,000 to £22,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an IT Support Engineer / Helpdesk Engineer / IT Support Technician, to join a leading IT company in Huddersfield offering continuous training and career development.
As the IT Support Engineer, you will play a key role in providing support in all areas of IT for a wide range of customers, as well as to the business itself.


As the IT Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact on the IT ServiceDesk and, as such, you must be an excellent communicator and able to deal effectively with customers in potentially time-critical scenarios.
You daily duties will include:

* Troubleshooting IT issues and managing them via the ServiceDesk, escalating where appropriate.
* Providing technical support either by phone, remote access or site visit.
* Managing customer and internal computer systems through the use of RMM.
* Keeping systems up-to-date through OS and software upgrades.
* Monitoring network equipment for performance, availability and security, and performing routine maintenance.
* Assisting with the design, implementation and ongoing support of new customer solutions.
* Setting up and configuring new client devices for use both internally and for deployment into customer environments.
* Assisting the Projects and Sales departments to resolve any queries or problems they may have when creating proposals/plans for new solution deployments.
* Performing routine Office 365 duties to ensure the highest levels of security.
* Working on IT projects and ensuring schedules are met for the successful delivery of those projects.
* Regularly checking successful backup schedules and performing test restores.
