Job Description
Market leading online dating service based in Shoreditch is seeking an outstanding Mid-level Developer wanting to move into a more senior role.
We have a range of products including a ground-breaking new service launching Autumn 2021 as well as a website with over a million members within a more unique and controversial niche that is frowned upon by many.
We're looking for a real self-starter, able to pick up new concepts quickly and work independently with little supervision. You'll have an impressive portfolio of websites/projects covering a wide skill-set.
You will be a joining a small team so resourcefulness is a must. Working alongside our CEO you will also help shape the user experience and development strategy of the business. There will be a clear path to Lead Developer for the right candidate.
This is working from an office based in London, due to this you must be located in the UK with indefinite permission to work here. Some work from home may be required.

Desired Skills and Experience
You will have demonstrated expertise in the following:
- PHP / Laravel / Zend Framework
- JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3
- JavaScript frameworks, eg, Backbone/Angular/React
- Web server setup and site deployment, eg, Linux, Apache
- SMARTY Templating Engine
- MySQL DBA
Responsibilities:
Whilst the role is mostly development, you'll need to ensure our software is maintained and the site runs smoothly. Common tasks will include the following:
- Improving the UX across the main product and forthcoming products
- Build deployment packages and work with continuous integration
- Work with Sys Admin on server/OS configuration
- Some Linux Administration
- Installation and maintenance of some Java applications
- Setting up system monitors
- Writing complex SQL algorithms
- PHP web development across front and back end
- Flawless CSS and Html5
