BI Analyst - Alteryx
City of London/Remote
£65,000 - £70,000 per annum + Annual discretionary bonus
On behalf of a Leading financial services organisation, I am seeking an experienced BI Analyst to Design, develop, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines/workflows, MI dashboards and data models to be used as part of solutions to internal and external customers.
There is a bias in this role to support the regulatory activities of the organisation, yet the role does support solutions to all functions of the business.
The organisation operate a hybrid working model, therefore you are expected to be based out of their City office for three days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Analysing complex data from multiple sources using APIs, SQL queries etc., you'll be responsible for collating data from multiple business lines and technology stacks and combining into views that satisfy the MI objective(s).
- Understand the varying levels of client/audience, identify key reporting needs and pain points; then lead efforts from concept to final deliverable.
- Analyse system data to identify data quality issues and propose ways to cleanse, normalize, or prevent bad data from entering source systems and/or data warehouse.
- Work on diverse data projects across the business, including data visualisation, ETL development, business controls and regulatory reporting.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, production support, and tuning of the Business Intelligence reporting environments.
- Support the administration and optimisation of the Alteryx Servers and end users of the gallery as well as sharing best practice with in-house Alteryx developers
- Ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
- Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as described in the policy.
- Escalate risk events immediately and log them within 24 hours using the risk event capture form on the Intranet.
- Provide input if requested to the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process, scenario analysis, Deep Dive' reviews and any other risk management processes, as required.
Skills/Experience required:
- Subject matter expert and previous experience in areas related to Business Intelligence and Data Analytics
- SQL experience desired
- Experience in Alteryx or similar ETL tool (eg Talend, Informatica).
- Extremely passionate about data and analytics Understanding of database and Datamodelling concepts
- Significant experience in MI and Information Management in Financial Services
- Experience in developing dashboards and reports for top level management
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Visualisation software - preferably Qlik
- Knowledge of at least one modern Scripting language (Python, R, etc.) is an advantage.
