Working in the Vitality programme R&D team, our Product Actuarial Analyst would be responsible for conceiving and developing new benefit features and programme mechanisms that advance the impact of the Vitality programme by driving the research and product development process from concept through to digital and operational execution.

Key responsibilities of our Product Actuarial Analyst will include:

- Using strong analytical and actuarial skills to conceive and develop benefit features and programme mechanisms that are marketable, technically robust, and economically sound

- Developing and deepening expertise in behavioural economics and health and wellness research

- Collaborating and coordinating across actuarial, product, technical marketing, and clinical teams

- Restructuring existing Vitality benefits to optimise programme investments, with a focus on driving engagement and maintaining the clinical credibility of the programme

What we're looking for in our Product Actuarial Analyst:

Essential

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Sophisticated written and verbal communication skills, for internal and external delivery

- Desire to build strong relationships throughout the business

- High level of attention to detail

- Strong work ethic with focus on value added delivery

- High degree of personal maturity and a natural capacity to self-reflect, learn and develop

- The ability to handle change and navigate ambiguity

- Complete alignment to Vitality values and core purpose

- Experience and understanding of the Vitality product and the Shared-Value Insurance proposition

- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills

- An eagerness to learn and develop new skills and areas of expertise

- Previous experience using SQL and other analytical tools such as R or Python would be preferable

Desirable

- A part qualified Actuary demonstrating good progress with their actuarial exams

- Work experience

- Extensive business and/or technical experience with a proven track record of innovation, entrepreneurship, delivery and performance
