The Role

You would be working in a small team with a range of responsibilities including

  • 1st Line customer support by e-mail and phone
  • Fault finding
  • Providing customer access to the data centre
  • Assisting customers
  • Undertaking remote hands
  • Remote admin / Support
  • Network cabling
  • Unboxing, racking servers
  • Fault diagnosis
  • Physical logistics
  • Configuring hardware/routers
  • Day to day data centre operations
Shifts

The role is shift based including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Totaling 32 hours per week

We operate a 5 on 5 off rota, typically with 5 early shifts followed by 5 days off, 5 late shifts, 5 days off and finally 5 nights before another 5 days off. You would typically do 5-7 night shifts each month.

Because of the shifts it's essential you have your own transport (bike, car etc) and are able to attend work should there be a bus strike or its snowing and public transport isn't running.

On call work is also available and we also work at customer sites from time to time.
