Security Cleared (SC) IT Applications Project manager

We are seeking experienced Security Cleared (SC) IT Applications Project Manager who will work as a part of a team, based in Derby. At present, the successful candidate will be able to work remotely, some flexibility to travel is required. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance prior start.

Day to day duties will include:

• Leads customer engagement to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects.
• Manages corporate, customer and third-party vendor efforts to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems.
• Applies experience and subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.
• Works on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope.
• Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
• Provides direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision-making process. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
• Large/moderately complex/local or sub-region. Medium/high risk projects.
• Manages client relationships. Manages mid to upper level client delivery relationships Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients

Essential skills and experience:

• IT Application Migrations
• Application Replatforming
• Enterprise Application Delivery eg SAP/Oracle/Workday/Salesforce
• Application Development and Implementation
• Application Upgrading/renewal
• 3-5 years' project management experience
• Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of key client's Services' operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
• Speaks with expertise to many layers of depth related to project management methods
• On the PMP Certification path or already certified
• Experience and exposure to financials of projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent relationship building - will work closely with the client
