Senior Systems Engineer (Azure, Windows, Office 365, VMware, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP)

GIOS Technology are currently working closely with a leading company in the Hospitality sector on an urgent requirement for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their Multi National Infrastructure team on a full time permanent basis in Central London. This company are looking to hire an engineer with a passion for technology, strong experience with Windows Desktop and Severs, as well as Hybrid Cloud environments. This person will take a lead role in the development and support of the groups technical architecture.

Technical Responsibilities

• Strong Networking experience: OSI-layers, TCP/IP, Routing, IPSEC, NAT, SNMP and Wireless networks
• Good experience with Azure cloud
• Support and maintenance of Office 365.
• Management of Microsoft Security Services
• Experience with Network Monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Nagios
• Virtualisation/VMware experience

Responsibilities

• Global management, maintenance and architecture of LAN/WAN, storage devices, virtualised environments, Servers and network devices.
• Maintain and further the use of cloud technology (Azure, AWS)
• Develop technical solutions and new security controls to mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Proactive systems management of cloud, host and network services.
• Work with third party vendors and service providers to ensure productive environment.
• Resolve issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Project management; from project inception to production release.
• Maintain project plans and documentation for all system builds and modifications.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends.
