As Software Developer:
You will maintain and extend the company`s existing range of software solutions and products
Learning and assisting with the development of the software platform written in C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET MVC.
Participate in the development and implementation of desktop and web based software. This part of the role will be especially interesting as you will be able to see the development of the software evolve and your input will significantly influence the way in which their software develops in the future.
Produce functional and technical documentation, and provide support for the development cycle
Provide high level product technical support where required. This may include liaison with suppliers, internal departments and end customers.
Participate in peer code reviews, stand-ups and retrospectives.
The Ideal Person:
Experience in VB.NET including ASP.NET and MVC 4. (Individuals with relevant C# experience will also be considered for the position.)
Experience developing applications using Entity Framework and LINQ.
Competent in HTML/CSS and jQuery.
Experience developing WinForms desktop applications.
Experience consuming Web Services.
Experience with a Version Control System (such as Git).
Experience of distributed software architectures.
Experience developing and interfacing to application programming interfaces (APIs).
Experience with all Windows based operating Systems.
Agile software development methodology and working in a Scrum team.
Experience in C#.
WCF Web Services / Web API.
Desktop application development using WPF.
MySQL or Oracle databases, and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Have the ability to work on an individual basis and as part of a team.
Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
Management of workload and issue lifecycle with tools such as JIRA.

* Weekly project progress reporting to IT Project Leader
Requirements
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* 2 years minimum experience with programming in C# (ASP.NET)
* 2 years minimum experience with relational database systems, preferable SQL
* Experience with SSRS & SSIS tools
* Exposure to other programming languages, ideally ColdFusion due to its use in current legacy systems.
* Knowledge of SVN and git.
