Role Summary An exciting opportunity to kick start your career as a junior software engineer in a fast growing, office based, hands on team. This role is ideal if you enjoy being a broad generalist - someone who likes connecting systems, figuring out how different technologies work together, and building practical solutions that make things happen. You'll be working across a range of projects and products, helping to integrate services, move data between systems, and turn complex processes into reliable, working software. You will learn a range of current and new technologies from experienced software and hardware engineers. You will be given increasing responsibility for elements of each project as you continue to prove yourself. There is flexibility in shaping the role around your strengths and interests, but some of the key technical areas you might encounter are listed below. Key Technical Areas You'll gain experience of a range of full stack relevant technologies such as: Python, C# Video Streaming Complex data platform architecture, multi tenant, partitioned, and access controlled environments supporting secure and scalable data access Docker & Microservices Modern Web Applications built in React.js, and TypeScript Personal Qualities and Experience You are someone who enjoys learning new skills, finding out things and also learning from mistakes. We'd like you to be reliable, curious, and ready to deal with problems and get them solved. We strongly encourage those from under represented groups to be confident in applying to us. You do not need to have any formal experience working in software, but you should be able to demonstrate your interest by having done something or worked on a passion project yourself. You might have built a full stack web app, made something interesting using AWS services, built and optimised CICD deployment pipelines, or some other relevant activity. You should have some familiarity with at least one general purpose programming language. You will also be keen to contribute ideas to both the business and the social side of the company.
