Our charity headquarters and forward operating base are located at Rochester Airport, with our aircraft hangared and maintained at Redhill Aerodrome. When the call comes, we can reach any part of Kent, Surrey or Sussex in under 30 minutes. Prospect Researcher Responsibilities: - Regularly maintain this pipeline in line with changing internal and external environments, ensuring the team focus on the best opportunities - Provide insightful, high-quality research on current and prospective donors using financial, biographical, corporate and philanthropic information from a wide variety of trusted sources - Identify potential donors' philanthropic interests, wealth, giving potential and propensity to support - Identify new individuals that we can begin to build relationships with which could lead to major, significant and transformational level gifts (£100k+) - Grow the pool of trust and foundation prospects able to give £25,000+ - Support the Head of Corporate Development with identifying and researching corporate partnership opportunities able to generate £25,000+ - Map out the extensive networks of our existing supporters, identifying links and opportunities between major donors, trusts and foundations and corporates - Identify well-connected people within our network who could advocate on KSS' behalf and widen our reach - Identify guests to invite to cultivation events - Identify application opportunities and diarise for team - Provide timely and accurate briefings of donors and prospects as required, particularly for face-to-face meetings and planned cultivation events. - Ensure all prospects and communications are recorded on our database, maintaining accurate and current information and ensuring it is stored in accordance with GDPR. - Be an active member of prospect research networking groups and other forums. - Supporting with prospect visits, tours and meetings About You - Proven experience carrying out high quality prospect research including network mapping - Experience producing accurate, unbiased, concise research as well as more in-depth profiles, reports, networking mapping and analysis - Familiar with a broad range of prospect research, including CRM databases and publicly available info - Experience analysing large data sets and clearly communicating findings and able to understand, interpret and present different types of information, including complex data - Able to create varied prospect pipelines to fund different projects - Highly competent using Microsoft Office especially Excel - Familiar with donor trends in the COVID-19 landscape and beyond - Clear and concise written and spoken communications and excellent attention to detail - Able to prioritise and manage varied workload, taking initiative and working to conflicting deadlines - Takes pride in producing high quality levels of work and possesses a highly professional attitude and work ethic - GCSE level or equivalent - Experience applying the Institute of Fundraising codes of practice relating to fundraising research and Data Protection legislation would be a bonus!
