Cloud Applications Analyst Location: Leicestershire /Hybrid (1 day per week in our office) Salary: £30,000 £37,000 DOE We are looking for a Cloud Applications Support Analyst to join our clients Business Applications team, supporting a suite of business critical applications running on Microsoft technologies. This a great opportunity for someone with experience in Application Support looking to become an expert. The successful candidate will be trained up to take on senior responsibilities as the team evolves over the next 12 months. You will likely be in a role such as Applications Support, Business Application Support or Cloud Apps support already. The role You will: Support and maintain core business applications running on Windows Server and SQL Server Handle BAU incidents and requests escalated from the service desk Work closely with Infrastructure, Networking and Modern Workplace teams acting as the glue between them Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving: o Windows Server application hosting o SQL Server backed applications o Active Directory / Entra ID integration o SSO and authentication Support and enhance line-of-business applications such as: o Sage o Primavera P6 o Exchequer o Other traditional Windows-hosted apps Contribute to project work, for example: o Migrations of business critical services (e.g. enhanced file transfer platforms) o Upgrades, integrations and new application rollouts There is a mix of BAU and project work, with the expectation that you will grow to own and lead projects over time. What we re looking for Essential: Experience in an IT support role (typically 2 3+ years), ideally coming up through a service desk / 2nd line route and having existing experience in supporting business critical Applications that sit on a Microsoft tech stack. Solid experience supporting applications on Windows Server Hands-on SQL Server experience (querying, troubleshooting application/database issues) Exposure to the Microsoft stack, including: o Windows Server o Active Directory / Entra ID o SSO / authentication concepts Logical understanding of how infrastructure, networking and applications fit together Experience working with or around projects (e.g. assisting with migrations, upgrades, deployments) Nice to have: Experience with any of: Sage, Primavera P6, Exchequer or similar line-of-business apps Exposure to Azure (IaaS / PaaS) application hosting Who this role will suit Someone with existing application support experience but keen to progress into a senior role.
