IT / Service Operations Manager £45,000 - £50,000 Bath Hybrid working - Home & Office Based I am exclusively currently recruiting for a Telecomms company in Bath, a newly created role reporting directly to the CTO managing a small team in a vibrant fast-moving SME. About the job: To manage the delivery of the Corporate Infrastructure so that the business IT needs are met and enable all departments to function efficiently. Day to day management of a small team, providing overall guidance, support and supervision Leading the technical strategy for their technologies: Enterprise LAN, Voice, Email, Ticketing systems, SAN, WinTel, Virtual Platforms, mobile working and VPNs, monitoring & reporting systems Maintain and monitor staffing levels and schedule to ensure that the team can meet the demand and respond in a timely manner to network and server anomalies and outages Develop and own the processes and procedures used by the team, based on best practice Capacity management - managing utilisation of assets Maintenance -managing routines, obsolescence, contracts, suppliers, service providers Provisioning - meeting SLA on new provisions Service Restoration - meeting SLA on services To act as an escalation, point for technical and service problems and questions via telephone, e-mail and face to face, including out of hours Ensure the IS team supports other teams and departments in the company achieve their business goals Lead internal projects to improve service Work with suppliers to improve service and value for money Conduct team reviews and be responsible for personal and career development of team members About you: Demonstrable experience of managing an enterprise network and service team, with a thorough understanding of issues encountered when operating corporate infrastructure and service platforms In-depth experience of best practice appropriate to operating processes used to build and maintain a corporate LAN, Servers and applications Hand-on technical experience, design or maintenance, on a corporate network and services.
