Own the strategy, performance, and evolution of Partnerize's global MySQL platform. Partnerize is undergoing major platform transformation - replacing legacy systems, expanding our technology estate, and driving toward high availability, globally resilient data infrastructure. Our MySQL platform is critical to this mission. We're looking for a Lead MySQL Platform Engineer to define and drive database architecture, champion best practice, and ensure world class performance and reliability. Remote first across the UK, with optional visits to our Newcastle office. What You'll Do Lead architecture, design, and evolution of our MySQL platform across global environments. Engineer robust replication strategies (GTID based, multi region, failover) and drive HA improvements. Optimise performance across indexing, schema design, slow query analysis, and workload profiling. Guide and implement major lifecycle events - migrations, version upgrades, topology redesigns. Build automation and tooling to reduce operational load and embed resilience into the stack. Provide deep technical expertise to engineering teams and mentor peers on database best practice. What You Bring Expert level MySQL knowledge: performance tuning, distributed replication, recovery, and storage internals. Strong experience with observability and performance tooling (Percona, PMM, Performance Schema, Grafana). Proficiency with Linux systems, networking concepts, and automation scripting. Experience designing and supporting high scale, mission critical databases in production. Clear communication and the ability to influence architecture across teams. Nice to Have Experience with PostgreSQL, Druid, or other NoSQL stores. Experience building DBA/DBRE automation and infra as code (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible). Role Overview This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing & Communications Officer to support the Marketing & Project Growth Department to strengthen Apax's internal engagement and external visibility through high-quality, values-led marketing and communications. The role delivers creative and digital activity across multiple channels, ensuring Apax's brand, voice and messaging are consistent, accurate and professionally represented. The postholder is responsible for creating and coordinating marketing and communications outputs. They contribute to campaign delivery and storytelling that promotes Apax's services, innovation, culture and impact, engaging residents, staff, partners and external stakeholders. This is a full time role, 37.5 hours/week between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, with occasional out of hours work required. Key Requirements Undergraduate Degree in a relevant discipline, such as marketing, communications and digital media. 5 years' professional experience in marketing, digital media and communications. Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) skills. 5 years' experience using website CMS platforms (Wix, WordPress or similar). 5 years' experience managing social media channels marketing and campaigns. Ability to create and edit digital content (images, GIFs, short-form media). Photography and ideally videography skills and ideally videography. Working knowledge of digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta, LinkedIn). Basic SEO knowledge (ideally including GEO / AI search optimisation). 5 years' experience using digital platforms such as Asana, intranets and Canva. Experience supporting or coordinating events and exhibitions. 5 years' experience in supplier management and procurement. 5 years' experience in brand governance and quality control. 5 years' experience providing business and administrative support, including minute-taking. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
