This role will focus on developing new business opportunities for a proprietary Smart, Solar EV Charging Hub, driving sales growth, expanding the client base, and ensuring the delivery of best-in-class service. The Business Development Manager will: Work closely with Marketing and Development, to grow a sustainable pipeline of opportunities in target market sectors, focused on client satisfaction and profitability. Carry out due diligence on potential counterparties and competitors, then working with Finance/Legal to develop winning commercial offers to move opportunities to contract close. Agree and meet sales targets, establishing KPI's and performance tracking and updating progress/results in CRM and client databases. Presenting performance to Directors/Board. Ensure proposals are successfully transitioned from initial bid/presentation to contract close. Generate leads and call prospective clients, in order to arrange face to face meetings. The Business Development Manager will have: Degree Preferred (Engineering/Electronics/Real Estate/Economics). Minimum of 5 years sales experience. Track record in long term client relationships, closing deals and client satisfaction. A minimum of 5 years sales experience. Proficiency in Office 365, Jira & CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) Renewable energy sector knowledge (particularly EV charging) and ability to sell these products to a client base. Our client, a privately owned UK-based company specialising in the development of Nickel Zinc battery technology is currently looking to hire a Senior / Principal Battery Test Engineer. The successful candidate will lead and manage UK-based testing and evaluation initiatives for advanced submarine battery systems. The Senior / Principal Battery Test Engineer will: Apply deep understanding of battery system design, electrochemistry, and integrated safety features to inform test objectives and interpret results. Develop, review, and approve detailed test documentation including Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports for battery modules, packs, and system-level evaluations. Manage hazard and risk assessments associated with lithium-ion battery handling, testing, and fault simulation. Coordinate thermal runaway, short circuit, and mechanical abuse tests in compliance with relevant Defence and maritime standards. Support the generation of business cases, technical input for RFQs, and proposals for new battery testing initiatives. Collaborate with engineering peers, partners, and test facility personnel to align testing scope with project requirements and safety considerations. The Senior / Principal Battery Test Engineer will have: Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or related discipline). In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with battery technologies, particularly lithium-ion, for high-integrity systems. Proven capability in battery system test planning, execution, and reporting across development and qualification stages. Familiarity with Systems Engineering (SE) and V&V processes. Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor junior engineers.
