Your New Role We are currently looking for an experienced Wireman / Rack Build Technician to support a specialist engineering project at our client's headquarters in St Albans. This is a hand on, workshop-based role focused on the construction and wiring of equipment racks. We are looking for someone with previous experience building electrical or technical assemblies from engineering drawings, with excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship. Your Responsibilities Construct and wire equipment racks from engineering drawings. Install and route cables neatly within rack enclosures. Cut, prepare, terminate and label cables. Install electrical and technical components into equipment racks. Follow wiring diagrams and build documentation accurately. Carry out basic testing and quality checks. Maintain high standards of workmanship and cable management. Work alongside the engineering team to complete rack builds within project timescales. You Will Have Previous experience as a Wireman, Panel Wireman, Electrical Assembly Technician or Rack Build Technician. Experience working from engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. Strong cable preparation, routing and termination skills. Experience assembling electrical or technical equipment. High attention to detail with pride in producing neat, high-quality work. Able to work independently within a workshop environment. Even Better If Broadcast or professional AV experience. Structured cabling experience.
