What You'll Be Doing As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll design, develop and debug embedded software for real world RF applications, working on both bare metal and RTOS based systems. Your responsibilities will include: Developing embedded software in C/C++ for ARM-based microcontrollers. Designing software for bare metal and real time operating systems, including FreeRTOS and Zephyr. Bringing up new hardware and debugging prototype boards using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and software debugging tools. Developing robust communications between embedded devices using interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I C, UART and RS422. You'll ideally have Strong commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++. Experience working with bare metal systems and/or real time operating systems. Experience developing software for ARM Cortex based microcontrollers. Practical experience bringing up prototype hardware. Knowledge of embedded communication protocols including Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I C and UART. Excellent debugging skills using both hardware and software tools. A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
