Senior Full-Stack Software Developer (React/PHP) A Software Developer is a technical role within our organisation. Alongside implementing core business solutions, they play a role in supporting technical excellence across our whole development team. Collaborating within the Microsoft ecosystem, this role involves working with stakeholders, developers, and business change to ensure solutions are delivered to the required specifications, whilst also being mindful of broader strategic initiatives. This role will also involve guiding more junior developers through technical decisions and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle. The role will initially be central to our product development team, overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of existing React and PHP applications. This role is based in our Birmingham city centre office with a hybrid workstyle. What does the role entail? Supporting Isio's broader development strategy, with a particular focus on programme delivery, documentation, and the use of modular coding patterns, utilising modern development standards & DevOps processes. Working with our Lead Developers to support and implement agreed ways of working processes relating to development. Collaborating with multiple teams consisting of internal and external members, based geographically throughout the UK and Europe. Supporting Isio's testing strategy to speed up delivery and ensure development quality is of a high standard. Refining Isio's existing DevOps processes and ensuring they are consistently implemented across all projects. Engaging with leaders across Isio to reinforce understanding of requirements and solution designs, then implementing them in the most effective manner. Having the responsibility to oversee major product feature enhancements from initial build to production release and maintenance BAU. Supporting with database architecture, in line with the wider group governance. This includes working with both structured and unstructured data storages. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the Development team by mentoring and upskilling others. Involvement in Isio's adoption of AI, including working with custom AI integrations. Strong proficiency in Typescript, React and/or other relevant frontend frameworks/libraries In depth knowledge of JavaScript(es6+), HTML5 and CSS3 Experience with state management solutions (e.g. redux or context API etc.) Good understanding of frontend testing (e.g. Jest, cypress) Extensive knowledge of PHP with Laravel and/or other similar frameworks Exposure to DevOps maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Github Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines strongly preferred Hands on experience working on codebases of varied high level architecture patterns (Monoliths, Microservices) Experience building APIs and API clients with a view to a strong level of maturity Exposure to working with messaging queues (Azure Service Bus preferred) and asynchronous architectures Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.
