They have a large programme of work to redesign their pre-trade Quant analytics, valuations, pricing capability and drive a more sophisticated, quantitative approach to pre-trade decision analysis. As part of this programme, they are recruiting a contract Scala Developer who will join part of a very experienced team to help them architect, develop and deploy, high performance, high frequency/low latency software in a complex trading environment. The successful candidate will be proficient in writing high-quality Scala code to build reliable, testable, production-grade systems in a complex trading environment. You'll demonstrate strong professional Scala development experience along with command-line skills in a Unix/Linux environment, excellent proficiency with Git and a deep understanding of JVM, including garbage collection and performance tuning.
